| dc.description.abstract | Esta dissertação tem por fito apresentar minuciosamente a natureza satírica de O outono do patriarca e sua ligação com a estética neobarroca. Nosso esforço se justifica não só pelo interesse na obra de Gabriel García Márquez como também pela escassez de trabalhos de cunho acadêmico que suscitem de forma aprofundada o debate sobre o caráter satírico desta obra e nem sua ligação visível com os aspectos temáticos da estética neobarroca, cujo debate teórico se deu exatamente durante a época em que o romance foi escrito, no ano de 1975. Esperamos, com este trabalho, corrigir essa inobservância e ampliar de alguma maneira o alcance da obra no campo dos estudos da Teoria Literária Latino-Americana. O recolhimento dos dados textuais que situam a obra nos campos temáticos citados nos ajudará a sustentar a imagem deste romance, que dialoga com profundidade sobre temas atuais e constantes na história das relações humanas, e o faz com particular força poética, impondo à linguagem os cimos de uma furiosa contemplação. | pt_BR |

| dc.description.abstractx | The goal of this Master’s Thesis is to thoroughly present the satirical nature of The Autumn of the patriarch and its connection with the neo-baroque aesthetic. The effort is justified not only by personal interest in the works of Gabriel García Márquez but also by the scarcity of academic research which deepens the debate about the satirical nature of this work and its visible connection with the thematic aspects of the neo-baroque aesthetic, whose theoretical debate happened during the exact period in which the novel was written in the year of 1975. With this work, we hope to correct that inobservance and to somehow broaden the reach of this novel in the field of Latin- American Literary Theory. The gathering of textual data that locate the work in the mentioned thematic fields will help sustain the image of this novel, which dialogues with depth about current and constant themes in the history of human relations and does it so with unique poetical strength, imposing to the language the summits of a furious contemplation. | pt_BR |
