| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho teve como objetivo, analisar as práticas matemáticas realizadas pelos cambistas, sobre o viés da etnomatemática. Nele expomos um pouco sobre como funciona o jogo do bicho, e analisamos como se dá o conhecimento matemático dos cambistas, sobre combinatória, proporcionalidade e probabilidade. A pesquisa enquadra-se em uma abordagem qualitativa, onde há bases da etnografia, que foi realizada a partir de uma entrevista com seis cambistas de uma cidade do interior pernambucano. Neste trabalho trouxemos alguns aspectos sobre a etnomatemática, sobre a matemática nas profissões e um pouco sobre a história desse jogo, desde seu surgimentos até os contextos nos dias atuais, procuramos identificar a compreensão dos cambistas sobre problemas combinatórios, probabilístico e de proporcionalidade, na relação com suas atividades diárias. Através das análises pudemos concluir que os cambistas com mais anos de escolaridade, tinham mais facilidade de explicar o que acontece no jogo, e que os cambistas usam muito a memorização na sua prática. Concluímos também que, a atividade do jogo do bicho, pode trazer contribuições muito significativas para o ensino de combinatória, probabilidade e proporcionalidade, se considerarmos a matemática envolvida pelo jogo. | pt_BR |

| dc.description.abstractx | The present work had as main point, to analyze the mathematical practices performed by the gamblers, on the bias of the ethnomathematics. In it we explain a little about how “The animal lottery” works, and analyze how the mathematical knowledge of the gamblers, in combinatorial, proportionality and probability, is analyzed. The research frames in a qualitative approach, where there are bases of the ethnography, in which it was made from an interview with six of them in a city of the interior of Pernambuco. In this work, we present some aspects about ethnomathematics, mathematics in the professions and a little about the history of this game from its beginning to the current contexts, we tried to identify their understanding in combinatorial, probabilistic terms and Problems of proportionality in relation to their daily activities. Through analysis, we could conclude that the gamblers who had more education could explain easier what happens in the game, and that they use a lot of memorization in their practice. It is also concluded that the activity of this game, can bring very significant contributions to the teaching of combinatorial, probability and proportionality, if we consider the mathematics involved by the game. | pt_BR |
